Miles in May update

Wed - A good soaring day at Cochrane. Fiona, Paul John C, and Greg soaring really smooth air and getting to several hundred feet over.

Tuesday - confirmation - Doug Litzenberger did not make 200 km but he was satisfied with his 6 hour 192 km flight. Doug Keller landed within 5 km of him at 187. James and John Orders 140 something and various other pilots at 100.
Wed -Rob Clarkson flew is personal best at 155 km and I flew my personal best at 122 km (3 hrs). Many other great flights, height gains to 13,000 feet.

Just a quick note before I head out again today.
Sat - warm up day. Moore, Doug K. James, Michael and I go for open distance. Moore succumbs to the lure of the Lomond pub at 50 km, I flew to Brooks (101km), Michael 105, James 125, Doug 130. Height gains up to 14,500 feet (really cold up there!) and sustained climbs at 1300 fpm.
Sunday -low cloud and some rain but some pilots flew anyway.
Monday - The rest of the pilots show up, about 15. Ross flies to Brooks at 114. the rest of the field somewhere in between.
