David Glover wrote to Wills Wing on Tuesday: I have heard from a number of tug pilots and hang glider pilots that the all gray cloth gliders with the gray leading edges are very difficult to see and there have been numerous close call mid-airs. Just an fyi these are good pilots saying this. I myself haven't had this problem with other Wills Wing T2's when I'm flying with them.

Loopt is a service that uses GPS (Global Positioning System) chips in phones to pinpoint a subscriber's location; then users can broadcast that location information to friends or family, who can track them on a tiny map. Subscribers can sign up for alerts to find out when other Loopt friends are near. They're also able to tag photos and send them to friends with location information attached.

It's August 2-9, 2008. Eight full days of flying. One of your days, you get to drop from your score. Practice day the 1st at the airport. Prize money on the Spot Landing Contest.
Big Spring has superb flying conditions and this year with an eight day meet we'll be able to get in more flying.
Sport and Single Surface competitions in addition to the Open. Registration will open in April.
