I can't believe it...I'm going to Canoa!

I just couldn't resist...I'm heading off to the Canoa Open in Ecuador! I scrounged up enough airline points to cover my flight (taxes are about $200) + cost of taking my glider and off I go! I was assured everything else is super cheap down there and the event is sponsored by the biggest beer company in Ecuador so I felt I couldn't miss out on this one.

This will be me soon...(a pic of Jamie's from the inaugural 2006 event).I was booking my flights to Guayaquil airport and I shouldn't have been too surprised there wasn't much of a selection but it turns out I'll be meeting up with the Americans (Dustin Martin, Jamie Shelden, Jeff O'Brien and Jack Simmons) in Miami - things like this always work out.

Sooooooooo many thanks to my wife. I just mentioned the event to her and how inexpensive it is (no entry fee for the comp or the pre-event-aero-towing) and that I had airline points and she told me "just commit" and go. I couldn't resist after she said that! She's so great!
