The 32nd Annual Lakeside Event promises to be yet another exciting edition of Canada's longest running light aviation meet. This fly-in is great fun for spectators and pilots alike. Hang gliders and Paragliders take off from Mt. Swansea and descend to targets on the beach and in the water beside the Lakeside Pub on beautiful Lake Windermere. The 31st annual Grouse Mountain Fly-In is scheduled to take place August 9-10th 2008 Paraglider and hang-glider pilots are invited to soar the skies over spectacular Vancouver from the Grouse Mountain launch, located at an elevation of 4,100 feet above the city. Pilot registration will start at 8:30 am in the Cleveland Park LZ and the mandatory pilots meeting will be at 9:00 each day. There will be a big flight event with hang glider, paraglider, ultralight, parachutes and anything else what is able to fly. RED BULL FLY IN: Besides the big air show there will be also a "FLY IN" competition for hang glider and paraglider pilots. The longest flight to the event area wins!
