The USHPA is trying out renewal of instructor ratings by taking continuing education courses.

Donell Hewett, (the guy who invented Skyting) is going to put on a course in use of the payout winch for training hang gliding. If you need to renew, or just want to come, we are planning to have it in the middle of May. This is for HG, but since I have seen a big parallel between HG and PG instruction, PG instructors can attend too. Since I am both a PG and a HG instructor administrator, I can sign off both.

On Friday April 10th 2009 we had our first towing day of the year.
After a quick paragliding lesson in the morning I headed down to Vulcan with my instructor from last year and another local pilot. We arrived around 1 p.m. to four other gliders already set up but their tow rig temporarily out of order and Qu's popping up all over.

2009 US National Team members Dustin Martin and Jeff O'Brien along with Kevin Carter will host a five day flying clinic at Quest Air March 26-30. This event immediately precedes Wills Wing Demo Days at Wallaby Ranch, and is a great opportunity to start the season with a quantum leap in proficiency.

Jamie and I worked on getting the course plotted on Google Maps today. You can see the 624 mile course line on the map beside us here and on the Event info page.

Choosing the site for the 2011 Worlds
