Registration will begin in the Patio buidling located at the fairgrounds at 3PM Saturday September 13th, with the pilot meeting being held at the same place at 8:00PM.

In the 10 years that I've lived in Utah, October 1st was the earliest I'd ever seen snow on the mountains. I now have a new earliest date for snow, by a full month.

Lee Abelson is in the running for Dad of the Year. Last week, Lee secretly bought his daughter Blair a Falcon 2 195. He planned the surprise perfectly…drop Blair off at the training hills to reclear for the mountain, get up top, set up said glider and put a pretty red bow on it. Blair was ecstatic!

Thoughts in advance: I must say I'm not great at going to memorials. For one thing, I hate going into churches. I don't like the fact that someone died which brings about memorial. It seems to be such a shame that the person of honor is not here to hear how much his friends appreciated him.

This annual end of season event at the Golden Landing Area is hosted by GEAR Campground. It’s time to end the flying season on a positive note and this is a way for GEAR to thank all the pilots for their patronage over the summer. Come join in the fun, dress-up in a fun costume, fly, have a great dinner and then dance the night away at the Events Pavilion.

$30 per person covers prizes for pilots (spot landing), best costume, free T shirt, ham/turkey sit down dinner, dance to live music.

Walking through Manhattan, we had a lot of fun - but why keep people asking me for the way? Happened three times on this trip ;) do I look like a local?

Some friends came over during the holiday weekend and their daughters had some hummingbird encounters while they feasted after the storm.
