Practice day with Brett
Brett was finished with his clinic today so he flew with us to try and help us out. We all launched at differnt times. Ralph hung out for two hours waiting for people to join him. He ended up with a four and half hour flight today. Scott, Ross, and Fiona hung out waiting for Brett followed by Bruce, Clay and myself shortly after. Every one just flew around Quest with differnt groups hooking up hear and there. Fiona continues to out climb alot of us so we don't feel too bad when we fly away from her up wind. It was difficult getting over three thousand feet but the lift was good after that up to five thousand feet. I was flying with Brett and Ross and got down to 800'. I found some light broken lift and stuck with it and got back up to 4000'. By the time I was ready to land I was having a hard time getting down which sucks after I worked so hard to get up in first place. It was a good learning experience and we had a good time. Ross and Fiona landed out with everyone else getting back to Quest. It's nice to land back here because we just tie up our gliders over night. I've only had to set it up once when it got here. Tomorrow we are thinking about an open distance flight south and then drive down to the Florida Ridge for a day of practice before the nats start. I was going to try and post some pictures but I haven't taken any flying pictures yet.
