Hedley - Day 1
The Hedley Open started today. They have 14 competitors. I am helping out remotely with the scores - I trained Tonya on CompeGPS to download the tracks and email me them all so I can handle scoring. I am unclear on a few things about the task and there is no cell coverage and limited internet access so scoring will have to wait til tomorrow to be done.
Today's task was about 44km taking them to Keremeos and back to Hedley. Amir and Kyndel made goal and Jim Orava almost made it. They were topping up at over 3000m and by the looks of the tracklogs, the drift wasn't that pronounced so the wind couldn't have been too bad. The fact that they went both to and back from Keremeos is a good sign of manageable winds.
More updates in the morning.
