Windy! Today (Wednesday) the wind was strong out of the SW.

I was the first to tow up at 1:05. I pinned off in a good climb at 1200'. We are split up into two groups on roads about two miles apart. I drifted straight over the other tow road and inspired them to get going over there too. The lift was week and broken and I spent the first hour turning. With the wind I was still putting on some distance. The lift started getting better and I started pushing harder down wind.

Once I got to the Red Deer river I slowed down again as it is a tricky area to cross. Thier are no farms in this area and not alot of roads. You can keep road within a glide but it's not like the farm land where thier is a road every mile.

After 3 hrs in the air my harness digs in so bad I have a hard time focusing. As the day wore on I needed the focus to stay up. I ended up landing after 3hr 45min at least an hour before the day was over. I ended up land 18 miles south of Hana (home of Nickleback) 157 km from launch. I had the longest flight for the day with Doug Keller being next at 140 km. Several pilots were over 100km. The flying has been good but I can't wait to get a great day here.
