5.4) Scoring Integration with HPACs NTSS
We are working to make sure each individual event is sanctioned by the HPAC as a Class C event to go towards NTSS points (picking a National team for the Worlds).
The only one we need to look into changing is the pre-event notification (currently at 14 days). We think all Class C events should be reduced to 48 hours to increase the chances of more meets simply happening. This will be proposed to the Cdn Comp Committee once the XCXC Series rules get hashed out.
HPAC Class C events allow scoring systems of any type and the task types fit within their requirements. We'll see how these events impact NTSS rankings. We are doubting it will have any effect but the goal of this series is to encourage new competitors to try competing at a regional level.

The no reflight rule only
The no reflight rule only apples to A & B meets, Class C meets use meet specific rules so this won't be a problem.
Great, thanks for the
Great, thanks for the clarification. This must be a change since the conversation we had at the Willi a couple of years ago.
If we could get them to do
If we could get them to do these things, we'd be laughing...
- blanket sanction if a set of standard criteria are met (e.g. notice time, task selection, minimal safety requirements, etc.)
- generous set of standard rules for things like re-launch, windows (may still meet an "earliest start" or "latest landing" window), task stops, etc.
- points for meet winners only given at least one task of any kind called and valid in a comp.
