Blown Ligament

I was surfing Sunday and blew a ligament on my left arm. Surgey is scheduled for this Friday. I weighed the risk reward scenario for putting off the surgery and flying with a bad arm. It would be a stupid thing to do. So, I am out.

For giggles I am attaching a pic of the wave at almost the exact moment I felt the ligament go. As you can see this shitty little no nothing wave was hardly worth trying to pull in. I can also see that I should have had my right knee firmly planted on the deck rather than raised as I believe that added leaveraged pressure to my left arm causing the ligament to rip free. Poor form on my part.
