What a day. After flying 122 miles in my Hangglider the day before (http://www.flightlog.org/fl.html?l=1&a=34&user_id=2213&trip_id=145602) my arms were to sore from hang gliding . So, I thought I would just take the Swiftlight up for a 50mile O@R. Maybe just a hour or so of flying. I was only dressed in a T-shirt and shorts. Well after the 25 mile mark the day started to pump. I decided to go for the 200km triangle.
Never got low. Just really cold. Thermals were all over the place, just pick a cloud. After the flight I had to spend an hour in the hot tub trying to warm up.
Using SEEYOU to analysis the flight. the 218.2km flight had a ground speed of 49.03km/h. FAI record for a 200km triangle is 45.5. I am sure that my start and finish points requirements are NOT up to the FAI rules. And I am sure If Robin Hamilton was flying with me that day I would be eating his dust.
