Two Ontarians Fly!

Saje - years in the making

All the way from southern Ontario, Sarah hadn't been in BC for more than a couple of days when she joined me for a tandem flight on Saltspring Island. We soared the cliffs of Mt Maxwell, yelling down to the rock climbers as we shadowed them with our glider. Definitely a memory to take back east with you Sarah!

Click image for Photoset #2After flying our fill, Sarah and I landed in the field below then headed back up so that my son Jaron's mom, Saje, could fly tandem. She'd expressed interest years ago but the opportunity didn't present itself until today.

We launched off nicely and found the late afternoon air to be super smooth as we circled our way up high over Mt Maxwell. We flew towards Maxwell Lake and then across towards Reginald Hill with Saje loving every minute of it. She was still beaming after we finally touched down (as you can see in the video below).
