Tip Wand Comments

"When putting in the rods into the leading edge, I like to give them a little twist just to make sure they have been pushed in all the way. I will sometimes give it a twist and a jiggle. If you get the tips stuck on the other side of the lever, the best way to get it out is to have a few people help each holding and or pushing where needed. I did it once and it was terrible until I got help."

Another asked about cracking on a tip wand that's installed the same direction each time.

Never experienced cracking on a tip wand. If my memory serves me, this may have been a problem with first generation tip wands which doesn't exist anymore.

If you do get the tip wand stuck behind the tip assembly in the sail, I find it easiest to just take apart the assembly. I have gotten the wand out without taking the assembly apart, but I've also broken a wand trying to over bend it. (not on a WW glider)
