Flying 9.5.08
After a productive day at the WW factory on Thursday, we headed to Crestline for a fly on Friday. Rob McKenzie had an 11am shuttle up the hill. We were joined by 4 other local pilots.
We took off at 12:20pm and began working the faces around launch. We spent 20+ minutes working bubbles until we finally got 1000ft. over by the billboard to the west. We used our altitude to fly west across the gap and played in the next range.
On our way back, Jeff headed out to Marshall, and I went east from Crestline. Overall the lift was scrappy and nothing was getting us that high. Fortunately the mountainsides facing the sun were emitting enough to maintain.
We eventually hooked up again and flew together taking a tour of the local area. Jeff landed after almost 2.5 hours, and I came in 15 minutes later. Nice local run around the area.
Airtime: 2:40. Flights: 1.
