Canungra Classic 2008
Come and start off the 2008 season with some of the best flying this side of the Moon! The picturesque Hinterland of South East QLD at this time of the year can produce the unstable conditions that saw many of last year's pilots breaking PB's and cracking the 200km milestone.
With most of the national team and a strong International contingent expected again this year, you not only get the opportunity to learn from or compete with the 'guns' but also to compete against your peers in the Best of the Rest category.
'Best of the Rest' Category
Once again the Classic will be including the 'Best of the Rest' category for Australian pilots who are not in the top 20 on the National Ladder (current at start of competition).

* Competition Dates: 25th Oct – 1st Nov 2008

* Registration Friday the 24th October (not Saturday morning).
* Entry fee $180 + $40 site fees (non CGHC members). GPS mandatory.

* Paragliders, Floaters and Intermediates welcome. Maximum entrants 75 Hang Gliders + 10 Paragliders.
The floater section (including Paragliders) may have separate scoring and sometimes separate tasks. The floater section is currently not sanctioned for HGFA ladder points
* Please note, your place in the comp is only secured after payment has been received
Experience Requirements:
Intermediate or Higher, Hang Gliding or Paragliding
(Mt Tamborine is rated Paragliding Intermediate with Advanced supervision)
(Mt Tamborine is rated Hang Gliding Intermediate)
Equipment Requirements:
GPS mandatory!
(Garmin or Aircotec Top Navigator or Brauniger Galileo).
Parachute recently repacked.

National Ladder Before Canungra Classic 2008
This year the Canungra Classic is rated AA, making it one of the top four scoring competitions in Australia this season. National ladder points of up to 360 are available at this competition.
