Flight Verification

ALL turnpoint verification is done via GPS - no cameras allowed. Not even for a backup (use a second GPS for backup).

Check out the GPS compatability list of the verification software I am using to make sure your GPS works:

You are responsible for providing your own GPS to computer cables. I have the standard round Garmin to Serial cable and the Serial to USB converter but if you have any other type, please bring.

You need to hand your GPS in each day as proof of flight. Even if you bomb-out you still get some points so your proof of flight is your GPS track. No GPS handed in, no score!

"Mark and Enters" will NOT be allowed. Your GPS needs to record a valid track-log point in all cylinders on its own. Or a straight line connecting 2 sequencial tracklog points, must cut the cylinder.

GPS necessities

Here are some very important settings you need to be familiar with and make sure your GPS is set to these- we may not have enough time to do a full GPS seminar and these are key settings that need to be set in your GPS.

Local Time Offset: -7:00

Map Datum: WGS84
