Willi 2009 date change
Submitted by Serge Lamarche on Thu, 10/02/2008 - 12:14.I got to talk with the owner of the landing zone, John McIzaac, and others that wanted to move the Willi 2009 around. They insisted to take the dates of the Willi for the PG Nats 2009 for personal reasons. John backed these PG Nat organizers. I couldn't keep the dates.
The Willi 2009 would then precede the PG nat if the PG nat bid in Golden wins!
The 2009 Willi would then be July 17 evening to Saturday July 25, or Sunday July 26 if the PG Nats doesn't take the Sunday as well. But if the PG Nat organizers in Golden loose the bid I would do the Willi at the dates I asked previously.

This annual end of season event at the Golden Landing Area is hosted by GEAR Campground. It’s time to end the flying season on a positive note and this is a way for GEAR to thank all the pilots for their patronage over the summer. Come join in the fun, dress-up in a fun costume, fly, have a great dinner and then dance the night away at the Events Pavilion.
$30 per person covers prizes for pilots (spot landing), best costume, free T shirt, ham/turkey sit down dinner, dance to live music.
Willi 2009
Submitted by Serge Lamarche on Tue, 08/12/2008 - 22:16.The dates are conditional to the PG national in Golden last week of July. The PG national organizers are bumping the Willi. If the PG national is not happening last week of July, the Willi will take it's traditional optimal place July 24 evening to August 2 late evening.

Things went well for my flight, I was the only one in my class to complete the task BUT the flight didn't count! Some how the track log feature on my gps was turned off!
