Gavin and Craig and Their Mantra M2’s at Canungra

Gavin Zahner reports from the Canungra Cup down under, in Australia. In his words:

"The canungra cup finished up last weekend with 5 good tasks, the last of which had us set a 90km goal across the main dividing range. This range crossing is a real prize around here with probably less than a dozen people having ever achieved it. We got 33 pilots in goal for an extraordinary result and an epic finish to the comp, made for a big presentation party.

Day-6

No Task

Great Kite surfing on the coast but no flying at Canungra.

Day-4 report - gz

tambourine - maroon dam, via turnpoint at 30km, 57km task. well. strikingly similar conditions today saw a similar task with similar results to yesterday. different launch just to mix things up. quite northerly winds with a 1600m base gave us scrappy climbs, with the both the climbs and the glides getting progressively more difficult past the turnpoint and closer to goal. however with nearly 10 people in goal the task panned out quite well.

Day-5

Another Trough approaches with the change happening around Mid-Morning.

No Task...........

Australia V's New Zealand in the cricket, match report to follow.
