I'm going to run a very informal XC meet @ the Estella Flying site in Wasa, BC (southern Rocky Mtn trench, 200km s of Golden) over the Canada Day Long weekend. Preliminary turnpoints are attached in Google Earth format below. Very informal meaning rides and retrieves will be organized amongst the pilots attending, no launch director, basically just me scoring and doing the best I can to direct the meet (and fly in it too of course!). Hang gliders welcome as well (I'm happy to score HG's as well - just need an HG meet director to step up and organize the stiffy protion of things).

This is an open invitation to all HG/PG pilots in Ottawa (All Canadian pilots are welcome) for a X-Country competition and to fly with and challenge a world HG pilot champion, Linda Salamone, in her first visit to Canada. This event will be held on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of July.

Linda is one of the U.S's leading women competitive pilots. she was just recently ranked in the top ten in the world.

She kindly accepted my invitation to put Ottawa on her busy flying summer calendar between the pre-women's worlds in Germany and US National in Florida.

REGISTRATION Welcome at the 3th Annual Coupe Quebec will be held May 16,17 and 18 2009.

The format will be closed circuit triangle and rectangle racing around the Mont-Sainte-Anne QC Canada. All pilots will be invited to participate and register in one of two categories: Open (EN-D, LTF-2 and 2-3, competition.) Standard and (EN-A,B or C, LTF 1 and 1-2).

x-Alps fundraiser fun and x-country competition

The road to Mt. Swansea will already be open so let's do some flying.

We will have a little fun competition and a fundraiser for the x-Alps 2009 team (Max & Penny).

There will be a party held at Frank's "mansion", with a live band and a presentation from Max.
Camping/accommodation will be available at Frank's and Max & Penny's place.
