Saturday August 9th: last race in Sopot ! 47.7km... and the winner is... Stefan Schmoker !

Last bulgarian task for our Tour 2008. The race was 47.7km long and started at 13:20.

Stefan Schmoker is the first to reach goal, may pilot have a difficult final glide with some landing a few meters or hundred meter before the goal line.

Friday August 8th: 100km race... stopped because of rain and thunderstorm

A 100km race has be started but had to be stopped because of rain and thunderstorm.

The task will be scored as the stopping time was more than 90minutes after the start of the race.

Results will be available later in the evening.

Tuesday August 5th: 78km race, Stefan Schmoker wins the task

Today's task was a race of 78km.

Many pilot did not respect the maximum altitude and got penalties ranging from 100 points to 0 for the task depending on the maximum altitude that was recorded by their flight instrument.

Stefan Schmoker wins the task, Charles Cazaux is second and Armin Eder is third. Klaudia Bulgakow is the first woman. ABAC is the best team today !

Today's task was a race of 78km.

Monday August 4th: 86km race stopped at 16:50

A 86km race has started at 14:00 but due to turbulent conditions at the last turnpoint before goal, the task has been stopped at 16:50.

Sunday August 3rd: we're starting the competition in Sopot with a 71km race

The competition in Sopot, Bulgaria is starting today with a 71km race. The window opened at 13:20 and the race started at 14:00.

Saturday June 21st: competition is stopped

During Thursday's task, Russian pilot Dmitry Maslennikov suffered a fatal accident.
It is likely that he had a major collapse, pushing him to a rock wall that he hit hard without giving him any chance to use his reserve parachute.
Nobody witnessed his accident as he was late in the task and away from the direct task route.
After search operations by helicopter, his body was found on Friday.

Today's task had to be cancelled due to strong local winds and over developments.
